Thermal Switch Manvia
For process analyzers and similar instruments it is important to ensure that the process sample fluids are always lower than the maximum allowable temperature. Sample coolers are often used to reduce sample temperatures to acceptable limits.
If coolant is lost to the sample cooler, or if the desired sample temperature exceeds the operating temperature of 49°C (120ºF), the valve switches. The thermal actuator modulates the valve to close the inlet opening to prevent damage to the equipment.
Optionally, a switching contact can send an alarm when it is activated.
