A milestone in the energy transition: the largest standalone battery storage in the Netherlands is under construction!
On November 20, the first pile was driven by Stevacon Bouw for the Amethyst project in Dordrecht, amid great interest. Together with Equans Nederland, Stevacon Bouw is building the largest battery storage in the Netherlands for client Dispatch.
This concerns a battery storage with a capacity of 45 MW/90 MWh, large enough to supply 21,500 households with sustainable energy every day. This battery plays a crucial role in balancing supply and demand on the electricity grid, which leads to a more stable, efficient and affordable energy supply.
