Heat / power coupling is a technique in which electrical and thermal energy are combined. A combustion engine provides mechanical power and the connected generator converts the mechanical power into electricity. Heat exchangers recover the heat that is generated from engine water, lubricating oil, intake air and exhaust gases from the combustion engine.
In addition to the economic benefits, combined heat and power also offers environmental benefits. Higher yields require less fuel to generate heat and power. This reduces the amount of harmful exhaust gases in the environment.
Sustainable
In addition to run on natural gas, it is also possible to run with a combined heat and power plant on, among other kinds of gas, biogas from fermentation of sewage sludge. To be able to use this gas, it is often first dried by means of a cooling or freezing installation. Partly through the use of our own refrigeration department we can supply a complete installation for this, fully adapted to the specific needs and possibilities of a project.
