We are using more and more medicines in the Netherlands. The medical residues end up in the sewer via urine and faeces and finally in the surface water. We must act now to prevent major problems in the future. To reduce the impact of medical residues on the environment, cooperation is needed to improve nature and water quality and contribute to a more sustainable Netherlands.
Nijhuis Industries has developed the MicroOxi solution for the treatment of micropollutants at WWTPs.
