The centrate or filtrate will always contain a certain concentration of polymer. The goal is to get and keep this concentration as optimal as possible. Since the supply of sludge is not constant, the concentration of residual polymer will also not be constant. To keep this residual polymer as stable as possible, a real-time residual polymer measurement is required. The solution for this is the SOLiSENZ PSZ. An in-situ sensor that measures the polymer concentration based on Ultrasound backscattering. The sensor is easy to place in the centrate or filtrate line and requires little maintenance.
